DANIEL BERRO

LMT

BACKGROUND

Daniel was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in San Clemente, California. Before finding a
place in Healthcare, Daniel worked for 15 years as a professional lighting designer for theatrical
productions, concerts and events. After a seven-month backpacking sabbatical through
Southeast Asia, he relocated to Denver in 2015 for rock climbing, a metropolitan lifestyle and
300 days of sunshine. It was in the Mile High City Daniel discovered his interest and passion for
massage therapy and the mechanics of human movement.

EDUCATION

Daniel has fostered a comprehensive, solutions-oriented understanding of musculoskeletal
anatomy, human biomechanics and kinesiology. He began his career with a 700-hour intensive
program at the Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy located in Longmont, Colorado. Through
continuing education, Daniel has furthered his knowledge of the cervical spine, manual
structural integration techniques, posture and gait coaching.

WHY ARE YOU A MASSAGE THERAPIST?

After decades of surfing, rock climbing and skateboarding, Daniel became directly
interested in anatomy and biomechanics after sustaining a neck injury in an auto collision.
Although initially skeptical, Daniel turned to chiropractics and bodywork to address his pain, and
quickly found a new passion and career. His first massage experience left him with a strong
desire to learn more about the human body. He immediately enrolled in massage school—an
educational journey that eventually led Daniel to pursue additional certification as a Human
Biomechanics Specialist through Functional Patterns. Daniel works to help his clients address
their pain and spark a similar curiosity regarding the complexities of movement and anatomy.

AREAS OF SPECIAL INTEREST

With an appetite for knowledge, Daniel is no stranger to continued education. Daniel has
pursued coursework to further his understanding of the cervical spine and shoulders while
maintaining a systemic, holistic approach to human anatomy. Daniel takes a myofascial
approach to bodywork and is trained in trigger point therapy, fascial stretching and active range
of motion techniques. Structural work, pain management and athletic optimization are also core
components of Daniel’s wheelhouse.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE TO DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?

Daniel is not as heavily into rock climbing and surfing as he was on the West Coast. However, if
there is an ocean or a boulder, old habits still take hold. These days you can find Daniel
exploring mountain passes on his motorcycle, hiking mountains, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
and optimizing his own movement and posture. When he is not being active Daniel enjoys
reading and playing Dungeons and Dragons with his friends.
