KELSI BELZ

DC, CACCP, WEBSTER CERTIFIED

BACKGROUND

Dr. Kelsi Belz, originally from a charming small town in Northwest Arkansas, grew up surrounded by farm life, horses, and the great Ozark Mountains. Whether it was helping on the farm, riding horses with her sister, or learning to hunt with her dad, Kelsi loved every moment of her rural upbringing. As she got older, sports became her main focus. She excelled in softball, volleyball, and golf in high school, graduating at the top of her class academically. Her passion for golf continued in college, where she played competitively while balancing a variety of jobs from high school through chiropractic school—donut shop attendant, substitute teacher, nanny, tutor, server, wedding venue manager, and most notably, a birth doula.

During her time at chiropractic school, Dr. Belz took the opportunity to train on the side as a birth doula, providing labor support to many women. This hands-on experience led her to a volunteer position in Costa Rica, where she spent six months as a doula. Little did she know, this transformative experience would shape her path into becoming the pregnancy and pediatric chiropractor she is today. (Ask her about Dona Miriam—she’ll tell you all about it!)

Dr. Belz moved to Denver in 2020, where she met her husband, Brian. The couple is newly married and shares their home with two adorable corgi mixes, Scoop and Polly. When they're not busy with their pups, they love exploring the mountains together.

EDUCATION

Dr. Belz’s academic journey began at Hendrix College in Conway, AR, where her strong high school performance earned her a full academic scholarship. As a student athlete and active club member, she also contributed to published scientific research, ultimately graduating with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2015.

After graduation, Dr. Belz moved to St. Louis, MO, to pursue her chiropractic doctorate at Logan University, where she graduated cum laude in 2019. During her studies, she began training with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) to focus on pregnancy and pediatric chiropractic care. She earned her Webster Technique Certification and the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP) Certification, maintaining these credentials through ongoing education and active ICPA membership.

WHY ARE YOU A CHIROPRACTOR?

Growing up, Dr. Belz was inspired by her dad, Mark, who worked as a ranch hand until a significant low back disc injury. Watching his journey with such an injury sparked Kelsi’s passion for chiropractic and set her on the path to becoming the chiropractor she is today.

Why Pregnancy & Pediatrics?

Dr. Belz’s passion for pregnancy and pediatric care grew from her close friendship with Emily, a fellow chiropractic student. When Emily became pregnant and was far from home, she turned to Dr. Belz for support. This experience led Kelsi to complete her birth doula certification and sparked her desire to specialize in the care of pregnant women and children. After Emily’s birth, Dr. Belz found herself volunteering as a doula in Turrialba, Costa Rica, where she assisted many women during labor and even caught a baby before the ambulance could arrive. This life-changing experience deepened her understanding of birth and perinatal health, fueling her commitment to further training.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE TO DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?

Dr. Belz lives in Denver for one reason—the mountains. Whether hiking, backpacking, fishing, camping, snowshoeing, or stargazing, she’s all about outdoor adventures in every season. (The gear is what matters!) When she’s not outside, you’ll find her spending quality time with her niece and nephew, cooking up delicious meals on her Blackstone, baking sourdough bread, or challenging friends and family to a competitive game of Catan.
