My weekend lull has disappeared and I find myself running around like a small child, unsure of where I’m going or where I’ve been. To keep the office operating at top speed I need to have outlets for my stress. Last week one patient showed me a move she had learned while in yoga.
Touch your stomach and place both feet firmly on the ground. Remember that you are not just jumble of worries, but that you are a strong and solid being. Feel your toes and take deep breaths.

When our bodies get stressed we should meditate. This calms us down and we are able to think more clearly. We are releasing the negative energy called stress and replacing it with calm. Meditation also allows the body to repair itself and prevent further damage. By using meditation you allow the heart rate and the breathing to slow down and the blood pressure to get back to normal, you sweat less and your mind ages at a slower rate. All of which are very much needed to help you live a longer, happier, and healthier life.
